| The HighTrees
Estate plantation is located on the Alstonville Plateau near
Byron Bay in northern New South Wales, now emerging as a centre for the
production of premium quality coffee. The red volcanic soil, has
recently been acknowledged by Government authorities as deserving of
the highest level of environmental protection, such is it's
agricultural value. After several years of searching we found the ideal
property - gently undulating, deep rich soil, high rainfall with
sweeping views across the coastal plain to the Pacific Ocean. Next came
the detailed process of plantation design, soil preparation and finally
the planting of seedlings - a process we undertook ourselves as even
the planting of the trees can affect the quality of the fruit. |
